Apple has disappointed many of its fans as there is little innovation from the iPhone 4 to the iPhone 4S. It is imperative for Apple that the iPhone 5 should contain new features as this is the only way that Apple will not make all of the fans disappointed again.

As we have mentioned in our previous news, the rumor mill is brewing. A larger display and a smaller dock connector seem to be certain. Let us have a small overview of the latest rumors on the iPhone 5:

 iPhone5

In-cell touch panel

A larger display which is supposed to be between 4.0 inches and 4.6 inches. Other than the changing on the size of the screen, the technology changes as well. This so-called in-cell touch panel multi-touchscreen has the sensor layer incorporated directly into the display. It is usually in a separate glass plate on the actual display. It seem to be thinner and lighter as well.

3D camera

As an adequate iPhone 5 prototype has been appeared, it is equipped with a 3D camera. This function can be switched by simply pressing a button. This information comes from an alleged relative of an Apple employee.

LTE and NFC

In addition to Near Field Communication (NFC), the new data transfer standard LTE is also expected to be on the iPhone 5. Both technologies are a premium among manufacturers recently, so it is imperative that Apple follow suit here.

Quad-core processor

The iPhone 5 is supposed to have a 4-core processor. The performance seems to have found approval from Apple, because recent reports say the company has ordered the chip from Samsung. Both companies are silent on this topic.

Nano-SIM

Apple want to celebrate their triumph in the struggle for the new SIM-card by the use of it in the iPhone 5. European mobile operators were already preparing for a big demand. The advantage for Apple lies in the fact that the Nano-SIMS are smaller by up to 40%, and room for other hardware would be available.

As iPhone 5 was confirmed that its unveil will be held on 21st September, let’s see how the iPhone 5 looks on that day. Are you looking forwards to the launch of iPhone 5?
